VidPlayVST instrument plug-in has been designed to be light on CPU usage and memory, so that it can be run in complex audio projects. The two main processing threads run at low priority, and the memory requirement should not normally exceed 350 megabytes. The latest versions of all Antares plug-ins can be downloaded from the Software Downloads page. (Older discontinued Antares plug-ins can be downloaded from the Discontinued Software page). Some DAWs may also require you to manually scan the plug-in folder in order for your plug-ins to appear.

Guys,As a total newbie to Mixcraft 8 I watched all the videos on the official channel and I have learned a lot how to use the program but there is one thing that I am not sure about at present.
How do you scan your plugins in Mixcraft? What folder does your plug ins reside in?
I have Sonar X3 in my system and the plug ins for that reside in a folder called Cakewalk/Vst/Plugins. Something like that.
Sonar automatically creates this folder when you install it. You don't have to use it of course but I do. All your plugins reside in that folder unless you chose to assign them to another folder.
I have Mixcraft 64 bit and 32 bit installed on my Laptop. Mixcraft is letting me use some of my cakewalk plug ins in mixcraft. It seems to be letting me use 32 bit Cakewalk plug ins in Mixcraft 32 bit and some other 64 bit plugins I have such as Addictive Drums in Mixcraft 64 bit.
When I want to install an external VST in Mixcraft where do I put them. Is there a special folder? How does Mixcraft basically know where to look for your external VST plug ins. I didn't see anything about specifying a folder for VST plug ins during installation.
Thanks SteveHello,
I've tried searching on this topic without much luck, so figured I'd start a new post in hopes that someone might be able to help...
I have historically created all of my Live projects on my iMac, however, I recently got a newer Macbook, so I've been creating solely on that... I put every plugin / software application onto the laptop that was originally on my iMac desktop - so I figured there would be no issues.
Unfortunately, I went to open a project created a few months ago - on my desktop - and upon loading the project, it says 'The VST Plugin Could Not Be Found' next to a list of a few plugins that ARE on my laptop. Some Waves plugins, Serato Sample, etc etc...
I tried to Re-Scan plugins from within Ableton Live before even opening a project, to see if that would update things, but no luck...
Managing Applications And Plug-ins On Windows 32 / 64- Bit Systems
I think that the issue is the plugins have a different file directory path than they did on my desktop, so Live is not finding them... which leads me to my question -- is there ANY way to relocated the plugins without losing my settings??? The pop-up box reporting the missing plugins does NOT give the option to locate these 'missing' plugins... although, again, they are on my laptop.I know that I could just re-load the plugins in question, but patch selections / presets are lost if I do this. Further, on Serato Sample, I have to re-load the samples I had chosen (not to mention their key, the same slice settings, etc...) which is impossible.
