Been using the VCV Rack quite a bit for the past few weeks - quite up there, excellent source for those of us still taking tentative steps unto the realm of modular madness.VCV Rack - the Eurorack simulator. Polyphony.Use up to 16 voices with the full flexibility of modular patching.
Installed the program and downloaded the available plugins directly from the VCV site.
Yet, still, am really interested in getting something like the Mental Mixer, which, I believe, was available free directly from VCV, but not anymore.
Been searching for a few third-party plugins and was able to find some modules and successful have installed them into the Rack plugin folder (using the very simple steps placed here: https://vcvrack.com/manual/Installing.html - was able to install with no issues the turing machine by Stellare Modular) - but not so successful with other. The Strum Mental Mixer, which I would really like to get, has eluded me.

Downloaded the file, extracted it to the Rack plugin folder, but to no avail.
Yes, probably doing something quite stupid (nope, not an engineer - far from it) and from the folder descriptions, these are just patches to correct a few bugs - but the modules themselves are yet to be found.
Can anyone drop me a line on how to correctly search Github for the plugins? A bit lost here.

VCV Library Instructions
- Download and install VCV Rack.
- Register for a VCV account and log in using Rack’s “Library” menu.
- Subscribe to a plugin, relaunch Rack, and click “Library > Update all” in the menu bar.
- Adding individual modules will be allowed when Rack v2 is released, since this relies on its module whitelist feature. Until then, you must subscribe to the entire plugin.
- Restart Rack and add the new module(s) to your patch.
All plugins on the VCV Library are available for Windows, Mac, and Linux.The “major” version (i.e. vMAJOR
.MINOR
.REVISION
) must match between Rack and its plugins.For example, Rack v1.* can only load v1.* plugins.
